Why do people dance?
Hello! Everyone!
Now in a hot summer season. Do you enjoy?
Speaking of summer, I remember there has been many summer festivals - Omaturi - in japan. And we can see unique dance “Bon Odori” in those events.
I wonder if it was shaking like this?
Bon Odori is one of Buddhist events originally. The Heian period, it was an event for the memorial service celebrating the spirit, the dead people.
Not only in japan, we know that many dance style have been around the world.
In the Arab region and the Middle East, there is belly dance. A woman dressed in glittering dances to put our navel.
In Europe there is ballet or ballroom dance.In Brazil, there is a samba.
There is a tango in Argentina, there is a flamenco in Spain, there is Cossack dance in Russia, There is Aloha dance in Hawaii.There is break dance in New York and me.
So Why do people dance?
First, People was used to dance as a representation of one of the prayers.
For example, pray pray for someone's health, pray for happiness, pray for a good harvest, rain and as you get off. Since ancient times, people have been represented by the dance feeling of prayer.
Second, people communicate each other by dancing.It is said at a time when we did not have the language, dance began in the form of presentational communication. By mimicking the movement of someone, people can share as behavior pointing to the same as that person. It is a communication primitive.
When it comes to modern, Many ways comes into play in the dance. Cultural values , political, religious, and economic. Dance that contains above them, have some kind of message.Dancing people think about making dances to let it easier messages.
Audience can watch the dance, they receive any message. Dance is a communication.
Third, by making a dance, people becomes fun instinctively. Mind and movement, acting on the other. People can have a fun Just moving their body to the rhythm.
Why do people dance?
In my conclusion, Human : It’s a creature that wants to express something.
Dance is one of self-expression for human. By expression, people can communicate each other and be relaxed. Dance is human desire.
I also would like to enjoy the dance, forever.
